Q: What are your fees for ADHD/Autism assessment ?
A: Clinical assessments and the provision of a comprehensive psychological report range between $1850 and $2100 (GST inclusive), depending on the complexity of the assessment and the required report writing time.
To make the process manageable, the fees are broken down into three stages:
Part 1 ($300): Invoiced prior to your initial session. This allows us to discuss your needs and commence the assessment.
Part 2 ($800): Invoiced prior to your second assessment consultation.
Part 3 ($750 for Autism, or $1000 for Autism & ADHD): Invoiced prior to your feedback session and the delivery of your finalised report.
Honest Practice Guarantee: Sometimes, my initial clinical interview may indicate that a formal diagnosis of Autism or ADHD is not appropriate. If this is the case, a full comprehensive report is unlikely to be necessary. Should this happen, your overall fee will be discounted, and you will not be charged for the final report writing time and associated administrative costs.
About Therapy & Confidentiality:
Q: What can I expect in my first session?
A: In your first session, we'll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your history, and your goals. We'll also discuss the therapeutic process and answer any questions you may have.
Q: Is therapy confidential?
A: Yes, therapy is confidential. I adhere to strict ethical guidelines regarding confidentiality. There are, however, some exceptions to confidentiality, such as when there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or when required by law. We will discuss these exceptions in more detail during our initial session.
Q: How long does therapy typically last?
A: The length of therapy varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some individuals may benefit from short-term therapy, while others may require longer-term support. We will work together to determine the appropriate length of therapy for you.
Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?
A: Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. I understand that life can be messy and sometimes 24-hour notice is difficult, on those occasions, we can arrange for a phone or telehealth session if that suits you. If alternate methods and notice are not feasible, we can discuss rescheduling later in the week or payment of the cancellation fee which is 50% of your session fee.
Q: What if I have a crisis outside of therapy sessions?
A: If you are experiencing a crisis, please contact your local crisis hotline, or emergency services, or go to the nearest emergency room.
